Prepare for the bout of the year.
This Friday, August 30, 2019, two days before the month of August comes to an end, Frank “The Crank” Camacho faces off against one of his fiercest opponents yet: Kaleb “The Champ” Cruz, an obvious fan-favorite among the massive community of MMA fans, who is singularly focused on the MMA World Championship title, and, more importantly, taking Frank “The Crank” down.
As their bout was officially announced on Thursday, Kaleb and Frank’s rivalry quickly cranked up; their feud will be remembered with the legends, alongside Achilles and Agamemnon, David and Goliath, and Chuck Liddell vs. Tito Ortiz at UFC 47.
Frank was last in action at UFC Fight Night 153, taking on National Judo Champion and UFC Athlete Nick “Sergeant” Hein in Stockholm, Sweden. Frank earned his victory against Hein on June 1st, 2019.
But with the MMA World Championship title on the line, there is no doubt that this will be a bout for the ages, and it is clear that Kaleb Cruz is ready to take it home. Frank “The Crank” Camacho has faced his fair share of worthy opponents, but none of them may compare to Kaleb’s fighting spirit and fantastic showmanship.
“Frank Camacho, I’m coming after you,” Kaleb fearlessly proclaimed in a statement made as he prepared to win the MMA World Championship title, training with Custom Fitness Guam’s Crossfit Gof Metgot gym.
Kaleb “The Champ” Cruz, a passionate UFC/MMA fan and certainly a fan of Frank “The Crank” Camacho, swore that he would one day get in the cage with his own idol. And, true to form, Kaleb’s promise became a fact.
Despite their rivalry, Frank “The Crank” and Kaleb reveal their true warrior spirits by taking a moment to set aside their competitive natures in order to surround themselves with Kaleb’s many fans and supporters. Against such a popular UFC athlete, Frank is truly the underdog in this fight.
This incredible experience was a wish humbly made by Kaleb Cruz— and, in collaboration with the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Guam, that wish will become an exciting reality.
Frank claims to have first met Kaleb while he was paying bills for GPA; the young man was with his father and sister, and they had excitedly approached Frank, admitting that Kaleb was a huge fan of the Marianas-born UFC Athlete. Before Frank parted ways with Kaleb, the young man promised that they would meet again— in the cage. At the time, Frank had thought nothing of it.
A year later, Senator Muna, representing the Make-A-Wish Foundation, asked Frank to make a video recording of himself wishing Kaleb a great time on his strip to Disneyland. Unfortunately, Frank was training for his UFC Fight Night 153 match against Hein in Irvin, California, and unable to act on the request.
You could say that this is where their “rivalry” began.
Prepare to witness this epic event, as Frank, collaborating with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Spike 22, and CrossFit Gof Metgot, makes Kaleb Cruz’s dream come true at 5:00PM, Friday, August 30, 2019 at Spike 22, Tamuning.
